FAQ

What is the HardScore ?

The hardscore is an element that was created to energize the initial challenge by proposing a ranking based on elements other than the level only.
This is a formula lost a long time ago (some believe it would be in a submerged city) whose purpose is to bring a reward for risk-taking gameplay.
By participating in the hardcore challenge, you agree to have this part of mystery.
In short, we recommend that you focus on playing the game rather than the hardscore ;)

What is the curse ?

It's an element that balances the style of play by offsetting the speed of leveling provided by means such as heirloom and boost.
You have to choose whether to use these bonuses at the expense of a penalty.
Each heirloom slot provides a curse amount which gradually increase.

Does using the heirloom mount cause a penalty ?

No, while this is an element that help the leveling, it only provides comfort that does not penalize those who do not use it (remember that the levels are only part of the challenge and that the first goal is not speed but to not die).

The site tells me that my character already exists in database :

If there was a character already existing with the same name and that one die a few minutes ago, it's possible that the blizzard data are not updated yet. Wait a few and try again.

I'm 60, now what?

Well, that's the part where this challenge is really different from the Irons one. The hardscore is not sorely based on the level so when you finish to level your character, the journey only begin !
Continue to play the game and take risks and your hardscore will continue to increase !
Alternatively, you can stop your character and create another one and try the challenge with another class.

Why only Shadowland character?

If you had a character created before Shadowland that was, for example, level 30 or so, after the Shadowland level changes it is now level 10 or so however, it still has his old level 20 and 30 achievements.
Unfortunately, although Blizzard has changed the old achievements of the higher levels by marking them as "legacy",
they have not changed the low level ones. This is problematic for checking if a character is correct and we have no choice but to reject these characters.
In theory, character created before Shadowlands that hadn't reached level 20 should work fine.
